Village of Rye Brook celebrates milestone birthday with well-attended party in Crawford Park

A boisterous crowd full of cheering children stand around a brave group of hungry Rye Brook affiliates and residents, including the remorseful looking Matt Berkowitz (front), as they partake in the first pie eating contest hosted during the Village’s 40th birthday party at Crawford Park on Saturday, June 18.
After climbing all the way up and successfully tapping on the button at the top of the rock wall, Blind Brook Middle School eighth-grader Ben Goldowsky rappels back down to solid ground.
Children of all ages line up to take their shot in the water gun carnival game. Only one would win, but everyone earned a prize.
