Walking and running to put food on the table

The third Miles for MOMS (Meals on Main Street) race gets underway on a sunny Sunday morning, Oct. 15, in the marina parking lot on Abendroth Avenue. The race ended in the same spot. It raised over $90,000, enough to put 120,000 pounds of food on the tables of families in need this holiday season.

Port Chester’s North Main Street was the backdrop for the race, which featured runners, joggers and walkers of all ages, only some competing in the 5K. There were 441 participants, 120 of those from Port Chester.
