Senior citizens treated to an early Thanksgiving
November 27, 2024 at 12:10 a.m.
Longtime Corporate Outreach volunteers Cathy Harrison of Elmsford, Robin Goldstein of Scarsdale and Ray Francis of Somers prepare plates of food for residents of the 245 King St. senior housing on Tuesday, Nov. 26. Francis has kept the Thanksgiving dinner tradition going for 38 years with the help of volunteers and fellow organizer Rich Nicolosi of Yonkers who has been involved for the last 23 years. The group returned to 245 King St. for the first time since before the COVID-19 pandemic closed everything down in 2020 and were helped this year by a bunch of Westchester volunteers going by the Turkey Time moniker.

Longtime volunteers Joseph Tallone of Yonkers, Lisa Fiorino of Mamaroneck and Nicole Conlisk of New Rochelle dish out a perfect Thanksgiving dinner—turkey and all the sides—to residents of the Terrace Avenue senior housing complex in Port Chester lined up in their community room on Saturday, Nov. 23. It was Corporate Outreach’s 38th annual Thanksgiving dinner for the less fortunate. A similar scene played out at the Drew Street senior housing complex the same day.
