Speeding on a suspended license

While patrolling Westchester Avenue, a Rye Brook police officer allegedly spotted a driver speeding down the road on Monday, Aug. 19.
According to Police Lieutenant J. Arnold, the officer recorded Francis Paredes Taveras going 15 mph over the posted speed limit of 30 at 9:14 p.m. After the officer performed a traffic stop near Lincoln Avenue, a routine background check revealed the 25-year-old’s license had been suspended in September 2023, Arnold said.
The Halstead Avenue resident received a speeding ticket and was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor.
