Ambush at home

Port Chester police officers reported to 12 Parker St. after receiving a call from a man who alleged he had been assaulted on Wednesday, Jan. 31.

According to the police report, the victim told officers he was sitting in his bedroom when José Ramos, another tenant of the building, barged in and attacked him. Ramos was allegedly joined in the assault by another man, though the victim could not provide a name other than “Alex.”

When the police were called, both suspects allegedly fled the building. The officers were able to contact Ramos via cell phone, asking him to return to the scene. The victim allegedly confirmed the 26-year-old as the attacker and Ramos was arrested at 7:46 p.m.

He was charged with assault in the third degree, a misdemeanor. Police are currently investigating the identity of the other man.
