Last week, two out-of-towners were arrested for possession of stolen property and driving without a license.

*Port Chester police were informed through the Westchester County Real Time Crime Center that an allegedly stolen vehicle was spotted on Boston Post Road on Tuesday, July 2.

An officer found the white Hyundai Ioniq in question parked in the Gateway Shopping Center parking lot on Boston Post Road at 3:49 p.m. While surrounding the car, an officer brandished their firearm and ordered the driver, Tyler Wilson, to step out of the driver’s seat.

According to the police report, the 33-year-old complied, but was uncooperative during questioning. Police claim that while searching through the Greenwich, Conn. resident’s items, they found several bank cards that were not under his name.

Wilson was charged with criminal possession of stolen property, a felony, and obstruction of governmental administration, a misdemeanor.

*A Yonkers man was pulled over after a Rye Brook police officer allegedly witnessed him turn left out of the Rye Ridge Shopping Center onto South Ridge Street despite signage prohibiting the maneuver on Wednesday, July 3.

Police claim the car’s windows had illegally tinted windows.

According to Rye Brook Police Lieutenant J. Arnold, when the officer asked Davon Jenkins for his license, the 31-year-old provided credentials that belonged to someone else. Arnold said the officer observed the picture on the license did not match Jenkins’ visage. The suspect then provided the officer with his learner’s permit.

The routine background check allegedly revealed the car’s registration had been suspended after the insurance lapsed. Jenkins was arrested at 2:50 p.m.

He was charged with driving with a suspended registration, a misdemeanor, and received infractions for driving without a license, making an illegal left turn, having illegally tinted windows and using another person’s license.
