Four out-of-towners charged

Four out-of-towners were arrested last week for drunk driving, removing parts from a fire department connection on a downtown Port Chester building and shoplifting.
*While stationed in the Marina Parking Lot on Friday, July 12, a Port Chester police officer was informed by a passerby at around 5:40 a.m. that someone was allegedly tampering with the FDC (Fire Department Connections) on an Abendroth Avenue building.
The officer investigated and found a U-Haul rental truck parked on the road shoulder near the Harris Restaurant Supply. As the officer approached, according to the police report, he saw a 33-year-old man fumbling through a bag on the passenger seat of the vehicle and noticed the FDC on the side of the building had missing parts.
Several FDCs and caps were allegedly witnessed in the back of the U-Haul. When the officer asked him about the tampered Harris Restaurant Supply device, the suspect initially denied doing any damage. However, after some probing, he allegedly produced the missing pieces from his bag.
The police claim the Stamford, Conn., resident admitted to removing the FDC parts because he intended to scrap them for money. He also allegedly fessed up to using channel-locks to facilitate the removal, which the officer found in the vehicle along with copper pipe cutters.
The suspect was arrested, and later, the Port Chester Fire Department confirmed the allegedly stolen FDC piece was valued at $200.
Johnathan Williamson was charged with petit larceny and possession of burglary tools, misdemeanors.
*A Port Chester police officer followed a man driving a grey Lexus after allegedly observing him screech his tires twice while exiting the North Main Street Walgreen’s parking lot at 4 a.m. on Saturday, July 13.
Leonidas Domingo Miranda allegedly drove over the pavement markings several times as he traveled down Abendroth Avenue and was ultimately pulled over near Mill Street. The police claim he did not have a driver’s license, and he spoke slowly with the odor of alcohol noticeably emanating from his breath.
According to the police report, Domingo Miranda admitted to drinking five beers at Glamour Night Club before attempting to drive home to Stamford, Conn. When he exited the vehicle, he allegedly appeared off balance before performing poorly on standardized field sobriety tests.
The police allegedly found an open, cold can of Modelo in the Lexus.
Later, Domingo Miranda’s blood alcohol content was revealed at .16%, twice the legal limit of .08.
The 38-year-old was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. He was additionally given infractions for unlicensed operation of a vehicle, having an open container of alcohol in the car, facilitating unsafe starts and driving an unregistered car.
*A patrolling Port Chester police officer allegedly witnessed the driver of a Toyota RAV4 perform several traffic violations while looping around downtown at 3:55 a.m. on Monday, July 15.
The Mamaroneck man allegedly drove through a steady red light at the Adee and North Main streets intersection before continuing to turn right onto Abendroth Avenue, crossing the double yellow road lines in the process. According to the police report, he then accelerated to a high rate of speed before turning onto Westchester Avenue, where he failed to come to a complete stop at a red light where he continued onto North Main Street again.
After the officer pulled the suspect over, he noted his slurred speech, bloodshot eyes and the odor of alcohol coming from his breath, according to the police report. The 27-year-old was allegedly fumbling while retrieving his driving documentation and was asked to step out of the car for sobriety tests.
According to the police report, the suspect performed poorly on the examination. He allegedly refused to take a breathalyzer test but was arrested due to the officer’s observations.
Enyel Molina Gomez was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and refusing to take a breath test, an infraction. He also received several tickets for the alleged traffic violations.
*One of three women suspected of stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of products for the Ulta Beauty a month ago was arrested on Monday, July 15.
The Port Chester police issued three warrants for the New York City women due to an alleged shoplifting incident on June 5. According to the police report, the women entered the Boston Post Road beauty store and proceeded to steal $3,500 worth of skin care products in collaboration. Officers were called to Ulta Beauty the next day to take a report.
According to the police report, facial recognition technology and help of the New York City police allowed the local officers to identify the suspects as 60-year-old Wilson Rivera of Brooklyn, 52-year-old Francy Vasquez of Queens and 41-year-old Yessica Rodriguez-Barichivich of Brooklyn. Charges and arrest warrants were issued for the suspects shortly thereafter.
Francy Vasquez was found in Queens on Monday, July 15, and Port Chester police officers traveled to the city to pick her up at 1:30 p.m. She now faces a charge of grand larceny in the third degree, a felony.
