Post-workout brawl

Two women allegedly got into a brawl at the gym on Thursday, July 11.
Port Chester police officers were dispatched to the LA Fitness at 260 Boston Post Rd. due to an alleged fight that broke out between two women who knew each other. Both claimed the other had instigated the situation, according to the police report, but only the victim sustained noticeable injuries and could provide details to back her story.
Ana Rodriguez allegedly saw and attacked the victim as she was leaving the gym bathroom. She is accused of pushing her against a wall and scratching her face. After the scuffle brought the women to the floor, they were separated, and the police were called.
The 170 North Main St. resident was then asked by staff to the leave the premises.
Police claim that Rodriguez appeared unharmed. However, the victim allegedly sustained scratch injuries, red marks and swelling.
Subsequently, the 27-year-old was charged with assault in the third degree, a misdemeanor.
