A Port Chester police officer was dispatched to the area of Midland Avenue near Pitt Street after receiving a call about a man asleep in a car with the driver-side door open on Sunday, Nov. 10.

After a brief search of the area, according to the police report, officers found Segundo Bermeo Dominguez sleeping in his green Toyota Prius at 11:34 p.m.

Officers woke the 40-year-old, who said he was unable to drive because he was intoxicated. Police claim that because Bermeo Dominguez had no one to drive his car, a tow truck was called to take it away as it was parked in front of an active driveway.

According to the police report, the 47 Townsend St. resident became uncooperative when the tow truck arrived and attempted to enter his car.

Bermeo Dominguez was arrested after he was removed from the vehicle, but allegedly struggled against the officer and attempted to keep himself out of the police car.

He was charged with obstruction of governmental administration and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors.
