Two out-of-towners charged

Last week, two out-of-towners were arrested for assault and shoplifting.
*A Greenwich, Conn. man was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 6, for an incident that occurred a few days earlier where he allegedly cut another man’s face outside of a nightclub on Adee Street several days earlier.
Port Chester police officers were flagged down by patrons to report the attack at 2:58 a.m. on Oct. 26.
According to the police report, Frederick Sledge slashed a man across the face with a boxcutter during an argument before throwing the blade into a trashcan on North Main Street. He then fled into the Marina Parking Lot.
Officers recovered the weapon but were unable to locate Sledge.
Security footage of the incident allegedly showed the 33-year-old leaving the scene in his silver Ford Fusion.
The vehicle was marked by the Westchester County Real Time Crime Center and Sledge was pulled over while traveling on the Hutchinson River Parkway in Scarsdale on Nov. 6.
Sledge was charged with assault with intent to cause serious injury with a weapon, a felony, and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, a misdemeanor.
*Port Chester police officers arrested a Bronx resident on Thursday, Nov. 7 after he allegedly stole $180 worth of food from the Stop & Shop at 25 Waterfront Pl.
According to the police report, employees saw Edwin Jordan stuff multiple packs of salami and pork into a pillowcase before placing a sandwich in his pocket and leaving without paying.
The 57-year-old was stopped by the store’s loss prevention employee, who recovered the products, but he allegedly continued to flee on foot.
Officers were able to locate Jordan after witnesses pointed them towards a store he entered on Westchester Avenue.
He was charged petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
