The Port Chester police were led on a foot chase after a 70 Purdy Ave. resident stole meat from the Stop & Shop on Thursday, Nov 21.

According to the police report, an employee of the 25 Waterfront Pl. store called in to report a man wearing all black and bright pink headphones threatened to stab him when confronted over the stolen goods.

Using the description provided by the employee, officers spotted Tyrone Watkins walking on Midland Avenue.

Police claim the 23-year-old ran away when asked to stop, making his way to an apartment on Weber Drive. Officers located Watkins using security footage and arrested him at 10:50 a.m. No weapon was found.

He was charged with menacing in the third degree and petit larceny, both misdemeanors.
