Walked out with a case of brew

A Port Chester police officer patrolling Waterfront Place was flagged down by a Stop & Shop employee with regard to a shoplifting incident on Saturday, Nov. 23.

The worker pointed to David Nunez, who was allegedly holding a case of beer while standing nearby.

According to the police report, the homeless man had taken the drinks and left through a side door of the Stop & Shop without paying.

The 53-year-old was arrested at 3:20 p.m. and charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
