A homeless woman received drug charges after she was picked up on a warrant arrest by Port Chester police officers on Friday, Sept. 27.

According to the police report, Haqueline Gonzales was arrested at 4:15 p.m. on a warrant for drinking in public. While searching through the 33-year-old’s handbag, officers allegedly found seven plastic bags containing a total of 1.9 grams of cocaine.

Police claim the bags were consistent with those used in drug sales.

Gonzales was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, both felonies.
