Caught with more than one intoxicant

After arresting William Ramos-Melchor for allegedly drinking in public on Thursday, Oct. 3, Port Chester police officers brought him to the police station at 350 N. Main St. for processing.
During a routine search at 5:40 p.m., officers allegedly found a small plastic bag in Ramos-Melchor’s wallet. Police claim to have found cocaine within the bag.
The 41 Armett St. resident was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor, and drinking in public, a violation.
