Two homeless men were arrested by Port Chester police officers after they allegedly stole $130 worth of meat from the Stop & Shop at 25 Waterfront Pl. on Saturday, Oct. 26.

According to the police report, store employees saw Juan Gutierrez, 40, stuff six packages of beef into a reusable bag while Joel Reyes Lopes, 30, kept a lookout at the door.

Gutierrez handed Lopes the bag of meat before the two allegedly left the store without paying for the goods.

Officers arrived at the scene at 9:55 a.m. and arrested Lopes outside. Gutierrez was located on the corner of Waterfront Place and Westchester Avenue.

Both were charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
