Friends of African American Cemetery honor historic plot’s Civil War veterans
On the morning of Saturday, Nov. 18, a gathering was held to honor the veterans that are buried in the African American Cemetery in Rye. Dave Thomas, founder of the Friends of the African American Cemetery, highlighted two veterans who are buried in the plot and discussed the importance of the cemetery as a whole.
