Libraries, like ice cream, aren’t just for children

Ice cream social brings community to the library to learn about its varied resources

There are two main misconceptions about libraries that Robin Lettieri has been trying to dispel. “A lot of people assume that the only thing we have for them is books and that we only provide services to children,” Lettieri, director of the Port Chester-Rye Brook Public Library, said during an ice cream social at the Haseco Avenue building on Tuesday, July 23. “But we offer much more than that to our communities.”
