Delivering food and company to those who need it most

Food insecurity combating non-profit helps Port Chester resident in time of need

At the start of the year, the New York State Health Department released a study indicating the presence of food insecurity in the state. That report indicated 20% of adults in Westchester had limited access to food because of their economic standing. One such individual is Roberto Pugliese, a 78-year-old resident of Port Chester. He retired early in 2007 to take care of his mother-in-law and continued to rely on social security checks to support himself.
