Rye Brook Police Chief Greg Austin (left) and Lieutenant John Arnold flank four officers who were honored with police awards at the Board of Trustees meeting on Sept. 24: Detective Marc Rampolla, Detective Orelvis Lazala, Officer Elliot Asare and Officer Abel Taveras. Two other officials, Sergeant Daniel Bruno and Officer David Cryeski, were honored that night but were not present.

Six Rye Brook police officers receive awards for service
From saving lives to preventing fraud, Rye Brook police officers never know what a day on the job will bring. Five awards were bestowed to six police officers during a special ceremony at the Rye Brook Board of Trustees meeting on Sept. 24.
