Teaching Assistant Jessica Espinoza helps John F. Kennedy Elementary School fourth-grader Alvin Buten with a homework assignment at the afterschool program on Sept. 30. Facilitated by the Carver Center, the afterschool program is being offered to Port Chester Schools families for $100 a year, a drastic decrease compared to last year which has subsequently led to a spike in enrollment.
