Remembering lives lost
September 11, 2024 at 11:30 p.m.
Port Chester Fire Department First Assistant Chief Angelo Sposta, Jr. (left) and Port Chester Police Detective Jared Pennella place a wreath in front of the 9/11 memorial in Lyon Park on the 23rd anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on Wednesday. Pennella’s father, Ronald, died last year after a battle with cancer, which developed due to his work at the World Trade Center site, where he spent 18 months as part of the initial recovery and cleanup crew following the attacks.
