After practicing for a couple weeks, the Blind Brook girls’ basketball team was ready to play their first game as a team. Since most of them are returning players, the team chemistry was there from the start. In their first tournament at Brewster High School, they were ready to showcase the skills they had been waiting to display.
The Blind Brook girls’ basketball team is reflecting on their season last year and hoping they can move on further than the section quarterfinals in 2024-25.
It was a weekend to remember for the Blind Brook girls’ volleyball team who prevailed over every team they faced in the state semifinals and finals in Glens Falls and did their school proud by taking home the plaque designating them as Class B state champions.
The Blind Brook Trojans were taking no chances with the anticipation that they'd be playing Valhalla, the only team they had lost to the entire season, in the finals. Before the finals, however, they had to get through the semifinals against Putnam Valley, the team they had not played at any point during the season.
The Blind Brook varsity volleyball team is a strong squad which has proved that time and time again with their 16 wins and two losses in the regular season.
The regular season volleyball games come to an end for Section 1, concluding for Blind Brook on Thursday, Oct. 24. After only their second loss of the season last week to Valhalla, their record changed, and even though they beat Westlake just a couple days later, they fell to second place in Class B.
With the fall sports season ending, there are fewer games each week. In the past week, the Blind Brook varsity volleyball team played Valhalla and Westlake, and they unfortunately lost their second game of the season to the Vikings.
The Blind Brook Trojans volleyball team has so much to be proud of this season, yet there is still so much time left. In the regular season of games, they have played 14 games with a record of 13-1 in those games so far.
The Blind Brook Trojans volleyball team has become one of the staples of the Blind Brook fall athletics program with back-to-back runs at section finals the past two years, and they are looking to make it a third consecutive year with another win at these finals.
